Super Seniors Event & Yellow Tee Stableford

What a magnificent turnout we had for the Super Seniors Event on Tuesday, 57 entrants for the Super Seniors and Yellow Tee Stableford Event. With several late call offs, we could have seen over 60 participants. Almost 2/3rds of the Membership! Anyway, the weather was bang on golfing weather, almost some rain, but the Captain did his job again!

The result was a very close affair with all three prize winners returning the same score, 38 points! So I was really glad Mike Lawrence "was in the building", with the aid of another pint of Wherry he soon sorted the result... phewww!

The Winner of the Super Seniors Trophy was Robin Lincoln. 2nd place ocb was Paul Lines and 3rd place ocb was Geoff Pinder.

The Super Seniors group, lunched well, with some excellent food, which the kitchen were able to bring forward one hour to great customer joy. Thanks to Chris and his Bunkers Team. Trophy and prizes were presented after lunch. It was great to see Jim McCarthy back at the club, competing after some serious health issues. Clive Digby was the raffle winner with a £28 prize, nice one Diggers.

The Yellow Tee Stableford result was also a close result, Pete Brown took first place with 40 pts, George Karklins 2nd place with 40 pts ocb and Keith Barley 3rd place with 39 pts (That birdie on the 11th made a real difference Keith! ). Vino will be on the Starter's table next Tuesday for you three winners.

My sincere thanks to Keith C, Alf G, Ken S (hope that ankle improves quickly) and Mike L for all their support in making the whole day a success. Team sheets for the next friendly on the 12th June vs Royal Norwich will be out over the weekend.
