As we our set to have the wettest winter on record it's very important to have a good set of waterproofs. Sam's Top tip of the week

I think it's important to have a 'go to' shot especially for your short game. A shot you can trust and one that will work well under pressure so I am recommending you try to master the 'bump and run'.

First things first you need to start with the set-up, have your weight 60% on your left foot (right handers). The ball position should be slightly back of centre try a PW to start with and aim to land the ball halfway from you to the target the general rule with a PW is 50 50 land it 50% it will role the other 50%. keep your lower half quiet take the club back smoothly and mirror the back swing to the follow through, this will help you get through it and stop any fat shots. As you get comfortable with the shot try a 9 and 8 iron
